Just came back from Penang on Sunday. We finally made it to Penang after months of craving to go there for a massive food hunt. And indeed we had a massive amount of eating once we reached there. Had their lok lok, assam laksa, prawn mee, char koay teow, pasembor, fried chicken skin, muar chee, otak-otak, curry noodles, pork porridge and ice kacang! Whoa. Whole lot of food! The trip was so so fun! And the room we got was a 2-bedroom suite. Worth the price that we paid for with good seaview. We paid approximately RM500 per night at Flamingo Hotel in Tanjung Bungah, which was really up to the standard, except for their poor service, but the room was lovely. =)
The view from one of our balcony. Nice!
The yummy otak-otak that we had. But the char koay teow there was so so expensive. RM7 for a small plate. Its at Lorong Selamat.
The good prawn noodles at Jalan Perak.
All feeling exhausted cause I suggested that we took a slow walk up to Kek Lok Si temple instead of driving up. HAHAHa.
The view of the pagoda. Weather was so so hot.
The newly build Goddess Statue. Really, really huge.
The AWESOME, awesome Lok Lok nearby Jalan Dato' Keramat. Cheap and the pork ball is so yummy. Highly recommended!
We ended up buying bubble pistols to play. Bought it from Gurney drive for RM5. It was fun shooting.
On our 3rd day, we ate in a restaurant along Gurney drive. The food was good, but quite pricey. They're good for their fish. Especially the one cooked with yam.
Big, big tummy due to all the massive comsumption of food. Taken at Ghee Hiang.
Last group picture before we left the hotel on our last day. All of us.
